Description

Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica is a Sour that steps away from the usual profiles by using red beet juice and horseradish. This creates a rich, earthy character where the root vegetable notes lean on a clearly acidic base.

The horseradish brings a slight spicy kick, while the addition of sea salt pushes the flavor towards a classic Gose. Despite the unusual ingredients, the beer remains refreshing, keeping the 5% alcohol volume completely in the background.

This release is a collaboration between Hop Hooligans, one of the most widely recognized breweries on the craft scene, and Maktoob, a nomad brewery with North African roots. Both are based in Bucharest, Romania. Hop Hooligans usually builds its portfolio around high-intensity, unconventional beers.
