You've probably been in the situation where you found a beer recommended by someone, went to a few stores, and couldn't find it. Or you ordered online and received a beer that had been sitting on a shelf for months. Brizzly was born after several online orders that didn't convince us. We wanted a place where we could find well-kept craft beers that are easy to order.
Hello! We are Gabriela and Ionut. Behind Brizzly is us, two people with "normal" lives (corporate worker and web developer), but united by a shared love for good craft beer.

Who are we?
Brizzly started from a simple question: why is it so hard to find well-kept craft beers, correctly recommended and delivered quickly, all in one place? We built the store we would have used as customers.
Outside Brizzly, we have regular day jobs. In the evenings and on weekends, you can find us tasting beers, talking to brewers, or working on the store.
It all started out of curiosity. Over time, we started visiting breweries, tasting new styles, and understanding how much it matters how a beer is stored. The passion grew, and we started actively looking for new tastes, visiting micro-breweries and learning about styles. This journey inspired us to create Brizzly.
Why Brizzly? And where does the name come from?
Brizzly appeared after many searches through stores and online orders where we couldn't find the beers we were looking for, or received them in conditions that didn't inspire confidence. We set out to do three simple things: useful information, a carefully curated selection, and fast delivery.
The name Brizzly comes from a combination between Grizzly and the letter B. B for beer. B for Brizzly. We liked the idea of a catchy name that suggests the strength and personality of craft beers.
Brizzly wasn't born out of a business plan, but after many tasted beers, discussions with brewers, and visits to breweries. One of the lessons we learned is that the same beer can taste completely different if kept for months at room temperature compared to one kept constantly cold.

We don't want to have the largest catalog. We prefer a selection we know well and would recommend without hesitation. We prefer a catalog we know well.If a beer doesn't convince us, we don't list it just because it is new, popular, or has a better margin.
How do we choose the beers?
We don't list just any beer. We carefully choose what makes it into the store. Each beer is evaluated based on:
- Freshness
- Batch consistency
- Quality of ingredients
- Brewery reputation
- Balance between quality and price
- Style character
Every beer in the store must have a reason for being there. If it doesn't convince us, it doesn't make it onto Brizzly.

How do we store the beer until it reaches you?
All beers are kept cold because high temperatures can affect the aroma, especially for hop-rich styles like IPA or NEIPA. We don't deliver with refrigerated trucks, because we don't have them. Instead, we deliver quickly, and for Bucharest orders we use our own delivery, so the beers arrive still cold.

What we learned after tasting hundreds of beers
After tasting hundreds of beers, we came to a simple conclusion: a good beer respects its style, is fresh, balanced, and makes you want another one.
- IPAs lose their aromas quickly if kept warm.
- Highly aromatic beers deserve to be drunk earlier than their expiration date indicates.
- A good beer doesn't necessarily mean a lot of bitterness.
- Serving temperature completely changes the taste.
- Sometimes the same style can have completely different interpretations.
- An award-winning beer is not automatically the right beer for you.
- The glass matters more than we initially thought.
- Sometimes a simple beer is exactly what you need.
- Limited editions disappear much faster than we expect.
- The best recommendation almost always comes after we find out what you already like.

Not all breweries that contact us make it onto Brizzly. Likewise, not all beers we taste enter the store. We prefer a smaller catalog consisting of products we would recommend to a friend without hesitation.

You don't need to know the difference between an IPA, Porter, or Stout to enjoy craft beer.

Where do the beers in the store come from?
A large part of the beers available on Brizzly come directly from breweries in Romania and Europe. Direct collaboration allows us to bring new releases, limited batches, and receive information straight from the producers about each beer.
How do we recommend a beer?
There is no perfect beer for everyone. When we make a recommendation, we start from each customer's tastes and the beers we have tried ourselves. Often, the best recommendation starts with a simple question: "What do you like to drink right now?"
How do we deliver orders in Bucharest?
For our own deliveries in Bucharest, we contact you by phone or via SMS / WhatsApp to establish the delivery window . We don't use refrigerated trucks, but we organize deliveries so that the beers reach you still cold and ready to drink.
Where does the information on Brizzly come from?
Some of the guides, recommendations, and descriptions published on Brizzly are based on what we learned by visiting breweries, attending festivals, and tasting beers. We try to explain things as clearly as possible, so you can choose a beer even if you are just starting out in the craft beer world.

What I love about beer: There is always something new to discover. Even after trying many beers, I still come across ones that surprise me.
A beer I recommend to almost anyone: A well-made Pale Ale. I think it is one of the best starting points for anyone who wants to discover craft beer.
Favorite style: Sour and Gose. I enjoy fresh, tart and easy-drinking beers, especially on warm days.

How it all started: Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout, in 2014. It was the beer that introduced me to the world of craft beer.
Favorite style: Imperial Stout. I enjoy complex beers with intense coffee and chocolate aromas, especially those aged in barrels.
A beer I will never forget: Ultima Unicorn. It was one of the few beers where I kept discovering new aromas with every sip.
At Brizzly: From the website and SEO to product photography, I work on many of the things you see in the store. Whenever I notice something that can be made simpler or clearer, I try to improve it.
A problem we wanted to solve

Some craft beers are produced in small batches and sell out faster than we'd like. We were often asked:
"Will you bring this beer again?" or "Could I reserve it?".
My Beer Box was born out of such situations. If you find a beer you don't want to miss, you can reserve it immediately, and we will keep it cold until you choose the right time for delivery.

We don't have standard packages. We prefer to find out who the beers are for and what type of event you are organizing, then we recommend a suitable selection.
Whether it's a few gift boxes or a larger order, we try to choose the same beers we would recommend to a friend.

How do you choose the beers in the store?
We don't automatically list all products from a brewery. We try to get to know the producers, taste as many beers as possible, and choose only the products we would buy ourselves.
Why don't you have thousands of products?
We prefer a catalog we know well, rather than the largest possible one. This way we can make recommendations based on experience and pay attention to every product in the store.
How do you store the beers?
All beers are kept cold until the moment of delivery. For our own deliveries in Bucharest, we prepare the orders right before departure, so the beers arrive still cold.
What does "Zero boring beers" mean?
It's our promise. We look for beers that bring something different, whether through style, ingredients, story, or how they are produced. It doesn't mean they are all extreme, but that each one has a reason to be in the selection.
Can I ask for a recommendation if I don't know what beer to choose?
Yes. If you tell us what types of beer you like or what you have drank so far, we can recommend a few options suited to your tastes.
What is My Beer Box?
My Beer Box is Brizzly's free service where you can reserve your favorite beers as soon as they appear in the store. We keep them cold for up to 40 days, and you choose when you want them delivered.
Do you also prepare orders for companies or events?
Yes. We prepare craft beer selections for offices, events, parties, or corporate gifts. Recommendations are made based on budget, type of event, and the people who will receive the beers.
